Catholic Church Celebrates this Feast on December 25th

As a Catholic, the first reason we know Christmas is December 25th is because the Church celebrates this day. Because we trust our faith, and know the Church does not error, and would not error on this most significant moment in History, when the Godman manifested on Earth. More importantly we have the Spirit of Truth, “But when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will teach you all truth. (Jn16:13) Thus we Trust in faith that the Holy Spirit , Sacred Scripture , knowledge of the Magisterium, and the 1st Church Christians , we have more than what is “necessary and sufficient”. The Hebrews know the birth date and date of death of King David, (6th of Siven), yet the same decedents know not the date, “Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary” in a humble stable, into a poor family? (CCC525), obediently circumcised & given His Holy name in the Temple on the 8th day? While I never heard of anyone disputing King David’s birth?or death?, but One more powerful than he, the World creates myths and lies.

Since the Holy Church is a source of Truth, and she uses Sacred Scripture, as well as Sacred Tradition (Apostles and First Christians) as “wells” for belief; Our Wisdom is not in dispute with science and reasoning but rather confirm (see Human gestation below) each other. The Church’s Truth is shame for the liars . Of course, there is the simple indisputable fact, Mary was alive when Luke researched his Gospel. Did not Luke record Mary was with Elizabeth until “John the Baptist” was born? (Lk1:56). Did not our Theotokos, herself know the twelve, stand at the foot of His Cross, then hold His cold lifeless body? Was it not recorded his Mother was with the Twelve when the Holy Spirit “filled the house?” (Acts1:14; 2:3-4)? This blog post intends to explain the World’s “foolishness” away. His Mother lived as part of the “Church Militant” for 22 years after Christ was crucified. What Mother, does not remember her Only child’s birth?

The World, rejects and denies the Church’s Truth and demands MORE: So I intend to demonstrate that with a little Catholic reasoning (Logic), Jewish traditions (today and yesterday) and Luke’s written testimony prove the world’s MYTHS about December 25, wrong. Luke provides the “world” the answer it seeks. BUT the World have eyes but cannot see, has ears but cannot hear, when the Truth speaks it turns its cheek!

A) Luke tells us: We date the child’s Jesus birth beginning with John the Baptist’s parents Elizabeth and Zecheriah: There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zecheriah. And they had no son, for that Elizabeth was barren, and they both were well advanced in years. And it came to pass, when he executed the priestly function in the order of his course before God, According to the custom of the priestly office, it was his lot to offer incense, going into the temple of the Lord. And all the multitude of the people was praying without, at the hour of incense. (Lk1:5,9-10).

B) Luke goes on to tell us: that Mary visits pregnant Elizabeth: “And behold thy cousin Elizabeth, she also hath conceived a son in her old age; and this is the sixth month with her that is called barren: Because no word shall be impossible with God. (Lk1:36-37)

C) Then in the 6th month: And in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God into a city of Galilee, called Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. (Lk1:26-27) So Luke reports the date from the Jewish calendar with Gabriel’s Annunciation the “(6th month)” to Mary.

D) From Luke, he told us the following: We know the 6th month in the Jewish calendar is Elul .(ie Mary & the Church) (see “Wedding Feast Kingdom of God” at Popular month for Jewish weddings due to, “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.” The Hebrew zodiac t is also interesting here, “as the young maiden”, is the sign in Elul. Also Mary’s birth is celebrated in September 8th.

The Hebrew calendar months as follows: 1.) Nissan, 2.) Iyar,3.) Sivan, 4.) Tammuz, 5.)Av, 6.) ELUL, 7.) Tishri, 8.) Cheshvan, 9.) Kislev, 10) Tevet, 11 Shevet, and 12.) Adar.

E) The next reasoning is from Elizabeth 6 months pregnant: While Mary had just conceived a day or so earlier, when Mary races off to see if what she heard ( believes she heard) from the angel to visit her kinswoman Elizabeth. (Lk1:39). John the Baptist is approximately 6 months older. Therefore, Zecheriah was in the Temple sometime in the month of Nissan. This means for one of the Holy feasts of Passover, because while at temple the Angel made him mute while attending to his Morning “incense duties”. Holy days of Passover in the month Nissan14th,= 1st Seder,15th = 2nd Seder, 20th = Eve of the 7th day in Passover, 21st = 7h day; 22nd = 8th day of Passover. Elizabeth had become pregnant (but probably did not know it) already when Zecheriah as Priest to enter the Holy of holies and prayed for a child for his barren wife.

F) Now with the Hebrew calendar using 354 days and Lunar..with leap years 7 out of 19 years, versus the Julian Calendar of 365 days since 46AD. The actual date for the beginning of Passover can vary from March 27 until as late as April 22 (per the Hebrew calendar using the1993-2003 years in the book “the Jewish Information Source”). This means John the Baptist is due to be born 9 months from this Holiday of Passover sometime in the month of KISLEV (9th mo.) 40 weeks or 280 days (gestation period), from the 15th to 22nd of Nissan. Translation in months gives John’s (9 month gestation and birth date in 2nd half of June. The CHURCH celebrates John the Baptist Nativity on JUNE 24th

G) . The Luke narrative, Elizabeth is 6 months preceded Mary’s pregnancy. Thus is bible CERTAINTY, Jesus’s Christmas is in our December. We calculate that John is due after the 15th to 22nd within an 8 day window and I am uncertain how many days after Gabriel’s visitation Mary arrived at Zehariah’s home. Regardless of this fact, we still places her “travail” “from Sacred Scripture in the 3rd or 4th week of our December. Thus Jesus arrives in the month Sivan, the third month of the Hebrew zodiac sign is the “twins” ; Sivan is also two prominent Hebrew leaders Moses was given the 10 Commandments and King David was born 6th of Sivan. So the Bible provides an 8 day window in the 3rd or 4th week of December (per our calendar for The Date of Christmas 25. Now I do NOT have access to the Jewish calendar 2000 years ago. So the Bible provides an 8 day window in the 3rd or 4th week of December (per our calendar for The Date of Christmas 25. Now I do NOT have access to the Jewish calendar 2000 years ago. Nor do I know exactly limited resources “Outside the Walls” of Mother Church,” but clearly, December 25 is entirely BIBLICAL and 100 % in agreement with human physiology. Therefore the Church the Pillar and Foundation of TRUTH is correct December 25 is Christmas Day. And celebrated by all humanity even the Apostate World who relishes our JOY of sharing, that makes them profitable.

Two Other helpful facts for this narrative:

SHOFAR is referenced the Di Dache: The honor of the priest entering the Holy of holies with incense was a once in a life time event, for Zechariah. Incense was used in the morning hours and evening hours. Also, is mentioned in the Di Dache footnotes “Shofar”. The rams horn sounds at Rosh HaShanah, Yom Kippur and for the morning service in the month of ELUL. The 14 day of Elul is the Beginning of Pass-Over.

What does 21st Modernity science say about the human pregnancy term is critical in your discovery is human gestation has not changed from the first conception: The Bible source for Christmas is as good or better than modern science at predicting the babies Arrival. They are “Doctors of Medicine

Human Gestation period:

The average human gestation length is calculated as 40 weeks because it is measured from the first day of the last menstrual period and not from the date of conception. According to this data, the doctor calculates the due date, which is also known as estimated date of confinement. However, there is no guarantee that the woman will deliver the baby on that particular day. In other words, childbirth can occur 10-14 days, before or after that particular day. Hence, childbirth occurring anywhere between 37-42 weeks is considered to be normal, whereas a baby born before 37 weeks is called preterm and the baby born after 42 weeks is called post-term. [ ]
