“Credo”: APOSTOLIC CHURCH – Chosen by Jesus

But the Saints of the Most High shall receive the Kingdom, and possess the Kingdom for ever and ever: (Dn7:18)

I Kingdom: (Dn2:44-45)

And in the days of those Kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed, nor shall the sovereignty be left to another people. It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and IT shall stand for ever;…A Great God has made known to the King what shall be hereafter. The dream is certain and the interpretation is sure! (Dan7:13-14) I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. Jesus confers his Kingdom to the Apostles and his successors: (Mk4:11) And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: (Lk22:29-30) And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (Jn2:24) But Jesus did not commit himself unto them (outside his circle of 12), because he knew all men, (He gave “Understanding to His Apostles”(Mt13:9-12); (Lk24:44-45)).

The KEY of INTELLIGENCE – Icon

While we await the “perfection of the kingdom ”, Jesus said it has already come to you. See: (Mk9:1)And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power. By this Jesus spoke of the first day of his Apostolic Church, (49 days from his Pass-Over came the Feast of weeks – Pentecost), and the birth of his kingdom on earth. Perfectly orchestrated from the days of Moses, that Israel from every nation shall be present with all their house. (Gn17:12-14, 18-19); (Duet10:16;30:2,6,19); (Lev12:3); (MT25:32-34)   When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divide his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, “Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.“ {A great Mystery for us to ponder in our hearts!} (Mt13:9-12) Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speak thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. (Mt22:2)The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,(Mt12:28) “But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you! In this last verse, Jesus we are told has cast out “Legion” {“for we are many”} of evil spirits and throughout his ministry. Here Jesus announces the “kingdom of God” has arrived”. He tells us when before many in the multitude “has tasted death”. Do you make Jesus a liar or now believe?

II Government of His Kingdom upon his Shoulders:

(Is9:6-7) For a CHILD IS BORN to us, and a son is given to us, and the government is upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called, Wonderful, Counselor, God the Mighty, the Father of the world to come, the Prince of Peace. His empire shall be multiplied, and there shall be no end of peace: he shall sit upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom; to establish it and strengthen it with judgment and with justice,..and forever: the zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. (Ps22:25-28)With thee is my praise in a great church: I will pay my vows in the sight of them that fear him. The poor shall eat and shall be filled: and they shall praise the Lord that seek him: their hearts shall live for ever and ever. All the ends of the earth shall remember, and shall be converted to the Lord: And all the kindred of the Gentiles shall adore in his sight. For the kingdom is the Lord’s; and he shall have dominion over the nations. {Inside the Walls of this great “City of God”, we have peace among our brothers and sisters, Yet outside her gates the world hates her.}

III High Priest Named and given power in OT:

{The Hebrews list their succession of anointed High Priest to this day. Likewise the Holy Catholic Church has done the same} Moses chair:(Mt23:2-3) Saying: The scribes and the Pharisees have sit on the chair of Moses. (ccc85) All things therefore whatsoever they shall say to you, observe and do: but according to their works do ye not; for they say, and do not. High Priests were in charge of the Ark of God (“covenant”) (until lost in 587 BCE) Ancient patriarchs ruled over the family like “Kings” directed the people by “word & example”. (1Cron16:22); (Ex18:13-23); (Nb7:89); (Lev16:2) ; (1Cron16:7,37) High priests have supreme spiritual power (1Cron16:4); (Acts5:34) & (Lk24:20)And how our chief priests and princes delivered him to be condemned to death, and crucified him. . The Hebrews had an appointed authority leader for centuries, but Christianity should not? See (Ex18- 23)If thou dost this,thou shalt fulfill the commandment of God,and shalt be able to bear his precepts: and all this people shall return to their places with peace. The OT is littered with passages where disputes, sufferings etc. came upon Israel, and they turned to the Moses Seat to settle or ask for God’s deliverance. One image from scripture, when Moses was gone to the Mountain receiving the “Law”, down below Israel fell into Chaos & sinfulness!

IV Peter given the Keys to the Kingdom: (We call him Pope, (“papa”)

PARADOSIS: Jesus to Papa Peter

(Is22: 21-23) And I will clothe him with thy robe, and will strengthen him with thy girdle, and will give thy power into his hand: and he shall be as a father (“ papa “) to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Juda.And I will lay the key of the house of David upon his shoulder: and he shall open, and none shall shut: and he shall shut, and none shall open. And I will fasten him as a peg in a sure place, and he shall be for a throne of glory to the house of his father.; (Mt16:18-19); And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven. (Mk16:7); But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he go before you into Galilee; there you shall see him, as he told you. Peter is mentioned 195 more times than all the other Apostles and is listed First in every passage, when listed but that is not honor or respect, or Primacy? (1Cor15:5-8) And that he was seen by Cephas; and after that by the eleven. Then he was seen by more than five hundred brethren at once: of whom many remain until this present, and some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen by James, then by all the apostles. And last of all, he was seen also by me, as by one born out of due time. { The Apostle John witnesses to us, that Peter is first witness Christ resurrected among the Apostles} (Mt28:16-20) But whom do you say that I am? Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answering, said to him: Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jona: because flesh and blood hath not revealed it to thee, but my Father who is in heaven. And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven. Then he commanded his disciples, that they should tell no one that he was Jesus the Christ. When therefore they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter: Simon son of John, love thou me more than these?……. the third time: Love thou me? And he said to him: Lord, thou know all things: thou know that I love thee. He said to him: Feed my sheep.(Jn21:15-17) [ Authority from who? Jesus]

V Authority to Govern Church matters:

In the Church Counsel of Jerusalem II, Peter presided,”chaired” (Acts15:7-9,14-16, 19-20) And when there had been much disputing, Peter, rising up, said to them: Men, brethren, you know, that in former days God made choice among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel, and believe Simon hath related how God first visited to take of the Gentiles a people to his name. And to this agree the words of the prophets, as it is written: After these things I will return, and will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and the ruins thereof I will rebuild, and I will set it up: For which cause I judge that they, who from among the Gentiles are converted to God, are not to be disquieted. But that we write unto them, that they refrain themselves from the pollution of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. OR (Acts11:1-18) Jerusalem Counsel I -on circumcision. (Church acts with Authority)

(Acts15:28) Apostles speak with (Voice of Holy Spirit @ Counsel) For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; (Acts1:21-23) Wherefore of these men which have accompanied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection. And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surname Justus, and Matthias – { Authority to Govern Church matters – choose leaders as Jesus chose them}

(Acts2:14) But Peter standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spoke to them: Ye men of Judea, and all you that dwell in Jerusalem, be this known to you, and with your ears receive my words { Pentecost 3000 Join the Baptized faithful called him “Papa” Peter.} (Jn21:17) He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, love thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Love thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou know all things; thou know that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, “Feed my sheep”. { Peter assigned as the One Shepherd of Jesus flock- Church} (Lk22:32) chief shepherd: And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. {In this passage we see even Satan understood the Moses seat of Peter.} (Ex18:23) “thou shalt fulfill the commandment of God”, and shalt be able to bear….. Will you choose disobedience, in favor of your “free will” Outside the Walls of this Ark of the Christ, and his Bride the “City of God”?

VI Government of Christ’s Kingdom on Earth

ccc857: The Church is Apostolic, because she is founded on the Apostles, in 3 ways. 1) She was and remains built on the “foundation of the Apostles,”(Eph2:2) the witnesses chosen and sent by Christ himself: { (Mt28:16-20); (Act1:8); (1Cor9:1, 15:7-8); (Gal1:1) } (Eph2:2) Wherein in time past you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of this air, of the spirit that now work on the children of unbelief: (Mt28:16-20) And the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And seeing them they adored: but some doubted. And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world. (Mk16:14-18). (Act1:8) But you shall receive the power of the Holy Ghost coming upon you, and you shall be witnesses unto me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the uttermost part of the earth. (1Cor9:1) AM not I free? Am not I an apostle? Have not I seen Christ Jesus our Lord? Are not you my work in the Lord? (1Cor15:7-8) After that, he was seen by James, then by all the apostles. And last of all, he was seen also by me, as by one born out of due time. For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the Church of God. (Gal1:1) Paul, an apostle, not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead, And all the brethren who are with me, to the churches of Galatia. (Acts9:7, 11, 17) And the Lord said to him: Arise, and go into the city, and there it shall be told thee what thou must do. And the Lord said to him: Arise, and go into the street that is called Stait, and seek in the house of Judas, one named Saul of Tarsus. And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house. And laying his hands upon him, he said: Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus hath sent me, he that appeared to thee in the way as thou came; that thou may receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. {Jesus sent Paul to the Church for Baptism & Instruction}

2)– with the help of the Spirit dwelling in her, the Church keeps and hands on the teaching (Paradosis) (Acts2:42) And they were persevering in the doctrine of the apostles, and in the communication of the breaking of bread, and in prayers. The good deposit the salutatory words she has heard from the Apostles. Hold to Sound Teaching : (2Tim1:13-14) Hold the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me in faith, and in the love which is in Christ Jesus. Keep the good thing committed to thy trust by the Holy Ghost, who dwell in us.

3)- She continues to be taught, sanctified,and guided by the Apostles. Until Christ’s return (“Didache” Paradosis), through their successors in pastoral office: college of Bishops,…..in union with the successor to Peter, the Church’s Supreme pastor. (See High Priests and Moses chair below) (DOCTRINE OF THE TWELVE APOSTLES) see – http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/04779a.htm

St Athanasius (360 AD) Saint & Doctor of the Church wrote “let us note that the very traditions, teaching, and faith of the Catholic Church from the beginning which the Lord gave. was preached by the Apostles, and was preserved by the Apostles and preserved by the (‘Early Church’) Fathers. On this, was the Church founded; and IF ANYONE departs from this, he NETHER IS OR NO LONGER ought to be called a Christian….” {Four letters to Serapion of Thimus1,28}

VII Jesus Commissions His Apostles “HIS Mission:

ccc858: Apostle’s Mission Jesus is the Father’s Emissary, from the beginning of his ministry, he called to him those whom he desired….And he appointed 12, whom he also named Apostles, to be with him, and to be sent out to preach. 368 (Mk3:13-14) From then on, they would also be his emissaries (grk. Apostles) In them, Christ continues his own mission. 369. (Jn20:21)“As the Father has sent Me, even so I send you”. 369 The Apostles mission is the continuation of Jesus own mission . Jesus said to the twelve, “ He who receives you receives me, receive him that sent me.”(Mt10:40);(Lk10:16);Jn13:20}; (Jn17:18) As thou hast sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.
(Jn15:19) If you had been of the world, the world would love its own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hate you 370
(Jn20:21) Jesus gave them his mission) Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: “Whose so ever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained”. (  An undeniable direct quote from Jesus. Many say, appeal directly to the judge in heaven. Ok, maybe?, but then we have this!  Why does he give his Church the Power to Forgive Sins? Can the Judge be your witness?
(Mt10:16-20) Behold I send you as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye therefore wise as serpents and simple as doves. But beware of men. For they will deliver you up in councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues. And you shall be brought before governors, and before kings for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the Gentiles: But when they shall deliver you up, take no thought how or what to speak: for it shall be given you in that hour what to speak. For it is not you that speak, but the Spirit of your Father that speak in you.
(2Tim1:10-12) Wherein I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and teacher of the Gentiles. For which cause I also suffer these things: but I am not ashamed. For I know whom I have believed, and I am certain that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him, against that day .

Prayer of the Son: (Jn17:2-5)

I should give testimony to the truth. ” Pontius Pilot, what is truth? (Jn18:37-38)

VIII Mission – Witness to Truth:

These things Jesus spoke, and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said: Father, the hour is come, glorify thy Son, that thy Son may glorify thee.As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he may give eternal life to all whom thou hast given him. Now this is eternal life: That they may know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth; I have finished the work which thou gave me to do. And now glorify thou me, O Father, with thyself, with the glory which I had, before the world was, with thee.
(Lk5:10) And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

VIII Mission – Witness to Truth:

  Prayer for the Church /Body (Jn17: 6-19) I have manifested thy name to the men whom thou hast given me out of the world. Thine they were, and to me thou gave them; and they have kept thy word. Now they have known, that all things which thou hast given me, are from thee: … Sanctify them in truth. Thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And for them do I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.
(Jn18:37) Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou say that I am a king. For this was I born, and for this came I into the world; that I should give testimony to the truth. Every one that is of the truth, hear my voice.

(Jn14:26) And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.   (1Jn2:27) But the anointing which ye have received of him abide in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teach you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
(Jn14:6-7) I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gave me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gave them me; and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
(Jn14:16) And I will ask the Father, and he shall give you another Paraclete, that he may abide with you for ever. The spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it see him not, nor know him: but you shall know him; because he shall abide with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you orphans, I will come to you.

(Jn16:13) How be it when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
(1Tim3:15) But if I tarry long, that thou may know how thou ought to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
(Jn15:26-27) But when the Paraclete come, whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceed from the Father, he shall give testimony of me. And you shall give testimony, because you are with me from the beginning.

(Jude1:1-3) Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James: to them that are beloved in God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called. Mercy unto you, and peace, and charity be fulfilled. Dearly beloved, taking all care to write unto you concerning your common salvation, I was under a necessity to write unto you: to beseech you to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints.

Faithful teaching: The Apostles teach what was “handed down” to them by Christ (written OT and oral NT)

The Church can never accept the “bible as the source” for our teaching as much had yet to be placed into scripture until years after her birth at Pentecost (recorded Acts2) In fact, the entire book of Acts is Luke’s effort to record and witness to Christ’s Church. First called, “Christian” and shortly known as Catholic before 100AD..prior to the Apostle John writings and the closing of Cannon upon his death.

Paradosis: (1Cor11:2) Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you. But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
(2Thes2:15) Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. {If the reformers “Obeyed” this 1verse the world would not be in such confusion.}

Parlambano: delivered(1Cor11:23); For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come. (1Cor15:3-4); For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; “And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures”: (2Thes3:6-7) Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walk disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

Paradomi: Std. Of teaching – (Rom6:16-17); Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. (Rom8:32); He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justify.

Jesus sends out 72 (Lk10:1-16) AND after these things the Lord appointed also other seventy-two: and he sent them two and two before his face into every city and place whither he himself was to come. And he said to them: The harvest indeed is great, but the laborers are few. …. He that hear you, hear me; and he that despise you, despise me; and he that despise me, despise him that sent me. [ In fear & trembling those Outside the Walls should tread, when they teach against the Truth of the Catholic Church.]

(Eph4:11-13) And he gave some apostles, and some prophets, and other some evangelists, and other some pastors and doctors, For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Until we all meet into the unity of faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the age of the fullness of Christ;

Ccc859: Jesus unites them to the mission he receives from the Father. As the Son can do nothing of His own Accord , But receives everything from the Father, who sent him, whom Jesus sends can do nothing apart from him. 372 (2Cor3:6) (2Cor 6:4-7)  But in all things let Who also hath made us fit ministers of the new testament, not in the letter, but in the spirit. For the letter kills, but the spirit quickens exhibit ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in tribulation, in necessities, in distresses, in stripes, in prisons, in sedition, in labors, in watching, in fasting, In chastity, in knowledge, in long suffering, in sweetness, in the Holy Ghost, in charity unfeigned, In the word of truth, in the power of God; by the armor of justice on the right hand and on the left; (2Cor5:20 ) For Christ therefore we are ambassadors, God as it were exhorting by us. For Christ, we beseech you, be reconciled to God.; (Jn15:5) I am the vine; you the branches: he that abide in me, and I in him, the same bear much fruit: for without me you can do nothing. (Jn15:16) Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Purpose to establish (Mk16:15) And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believe and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believe not shall be damned.

(Mk4:13-20) And he saith to them: Are you ignorant of this parable? and how shall you know all parables? He that sow, sow the word. And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown, and as soon as they have heard, immediately Satan come and take away the word that was sown in their hearts. And these likewise are they that are sown on the stony ground: who when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy. And they have no root in themselves, but are only for a time: and then when tribulation and persecution arise for the word they are presently scandalized. And others there are who are sown among thorns: these are they that hear the word, And the cares of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts after other things entering in choke the word, and it is made fruitless. And these are they who are sown upon the good ground, who hear the word, and receive it, and yield fruit, the one thirty, another sixty, and another a hundred.

The Seed Growing Secretly (Mk4:26-29)And he said: So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the earth, And should sleep, and rise, night and day, and the seed should spring, and grow up whilst he know not. For the earth of itself bring forth fruit, first the blade, then the ear, afterwards the full corn in the ear. And when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he put in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

IX “Chosen”by Jesus – Appointed, Ordained & His Great Church with Authority

(Hb13:8) Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever….. {no getting around this Truth 16 centuries later.}

Ccc860 In the Office of the Apostles, there is one aspect that cannot be transmitted, to be chosen Witnesses of the Lord’s Resurrection, and so the foundation stones of the Church,…since the Gospel they handed on to us is the lasting source of ALL life for the Church. Therefore,…..the Apostles took care to appoint successors!373 (Mt28:20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.

Jesus Appoints the Twelve: (Mt12:22-30); (Lk11:14-23); (Mk3:13-19) And going up into a mountain, he called unto him whom he would himself: and they came to him. And he made that twelve should be with him, and that he might send them to preach. And he gave them power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils. And to Simon he gave the name Peter: And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he named them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder: And Andrew and Philip, and Bartholomew and Matthew, and Thomas and James of Alpheus, and Thaddeus, and Simon the Cananean: And Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. [Betrayal is Disobedience, similar to Schism.]

(Acts1:1-2) THE former treatise I made, O Theophilus, of all things which Jesus began to do and to teach, Until the day on which, giving commandments by the Holy Ghost to the apostles whom he had chosen, he was taken up.

(Lk6:12-16) And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles; Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes, And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor. (Mt10:1-4); (Mk3:13-19)

Ccc861: Bishops successors of the Apostles: In order that the mission entrusted to them might be continued after their death, [the apostles] consigned, by will and testament, as it were, to their immediate collaborators duty of completing and consolidating the work they had begun , urging them to and to the whole flock, in which the Holy Spirit had appointed them to shepherd the Church of God. they accordingly designated such men the ruling that likewise on their death other proven men would take over their ministry. (Acts20:28) Take heed to yourselves, and to the whole flock, wherein the Holy Ghost hath placed you bishops, to rule the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

X Summary: The Church is Apostolic:

CCC811)…It is Christ, who with the Holy Spirit, makes his Church, One, Holy Catholic and Apostolic, and it is he who call “her” to realize these qualities. (CCC812) Only faith can recognize the Church possess these properties from her Divine source. But their historical manifestation are signs that also speak to clearly to human reason and as irrefutable witness to her divine mission.

(Lk13:28-29) Narrow Gate: There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you shall see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. And there shall come from the east and the west, and the north and the south; and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. And behold, they are last that shall be first; and they are first that shall be last. (The Jews will be called last to enter His Church, as many were the First.)

Foundation of Our faith: (1Cor15:12-19) The Resurrection of the Dead

Now if Christ be preached, that he arose again from the dead, how do some among you say, that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen again. And if Christ be not risen again, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God: because we have given testimony against God, that he hath raised up Christ; whom he hath not raised up, if the dead rise not again. For if the dead rise not again, neither is Christ risen again. And if Christ be not risen again, your faith is vain, for you are yet in your sins. Then they also that are fallen asleep in Christ, are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. (Mt27:50-54) (On the Cross upon death!) And Jesus again crying with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And behold the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top even to the bottom, and the earth quaked, and the rocks were rent. And the graves were opened: and many bodies of the saints that had slept arose, And coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, came into the holy city, and appeared to many.Now the centurion and they that were with him watching Jesus, having seen the earthquake, and the things that were done, were sore afraid, saying: Indeed this was the Son of God…(Lk24:24) And some of our people went to the sepulcher, and found it so as the women had said, but him they found not.

(Rev21:2-3) And I, John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

XI Church Magisterium:

To this identity of revealed truth corresponds the identity of faith. What the first Christians believed we still believe; what we believe today they believed more or less explicitly, in a more or less conscious way. Since the deposit of Revelation has remained the same, the same also, in substance, has remained the taking possession of the deposit by the living faith.

Dei Verbum 10: Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture make up a single sacred deposit of the Word of God, which is entrusted to the Catholic Church. By adhering to it, the entire holy people, united to their pastors, remains always faithful to the teaching of the Apostles, to the brotherhood “to the breaking of the bread” and the prayers. (Acts2:2:42).

But the task of giving authentic interpretation of the Word of God , whether in its written form or in the form of Tradition has been entrusted to the living teaching office of the Church alone. The Magisterium is not Superior to the Word of God, but is it’s servant. It teaches only what is handed on to it!….Paradosis.

It is clear therefore, that, it was supremely wise arrangement of God, Sacred Tradition, Sacred Scripture, and the Magisterium of the Church are so connected and associated that one of them cannot stand without the others. Working together, each in its own way under the action of the Holy Spirit, they all contribute effectively to the salvation of Souls.
