Heavenly Promises / Pray Without Ceasing /Spiritual Works of Mercy, ” Pray for the Forgotten, Helpless, Captive Souls, “
The Lord told 1256 AD St Gertrude the Great 1302AD that the following prayer would release a 1000 souls from Purgatory each time it is said. “When it is a question of prophetic Revelations the Pope is the sole judge!” Pope Leo X (5th Council of Lateran 1513)…. Therefore, we claim this promise for all of his faithful. Please pray this during the consecration of the Body and Blood every time you attend Mass or Divine Liturgy. (it is not required to pray at this time, but is our tradition.)
+ In the Name of the Father, son and Holy Spirit. “Eternal Father I offer thee the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, those in my own home, and within my family.”.
My yoke is easy and my burden is light (Mt11:30). Just think of their suffering will be no more. …”For it he were not expecting that those who had fallen would rise again, it would have been superfluous and foolish to pray for the dead, But if he was looking to the splendid reward that is laid up for these who fall asleep in godliness, it was a holy, and pious thought. Therefore, he made atonement for the dead, that they might be delivered from their sin.” (2Mc12:44-46)
Mary also said, “If we pray the prayers, we’ll deliver so many souls, so many souls.”
“So many souls”, and no one to pray for them, so they suffer the burnings in purification, forgotten, helpless as to their sentence for It’s opportunity for Merit now long passed. Who prays for these? Besides the Elect, when even the ELECT are neglectful? We know the majority of reform Christians properly baptized are in unbelief on this Spiritual Truth, denied by their false teachers, that preach that even divine justice and accountability for their sins does not apply to them. So they don’t even pray for their own mothers. It is our Saints and Catholic faithful that reveals these “seen and unseen things,” and our hope, that the 1000 daily souls MAY pray for us too one day. Now that they are receiving their reward, in heaven. Mary implies as much, “The more we work for pour souls the more others will pray for us (you), the more merciful Christ (her Son) will be with us should we be in purgatory.
Not only this, these souls are truly the poorest of the poor, stuck as captives knowing Only that one day, they will be blessed, but unable pray for themselves. In Luke 16, the rich man MUST be in purgatory able to view his ultimate reward, yet subject to constant torment or warn his brothers . But he said: No, father Abraham: but if one went to them from the dead, they will do penance. And he said to him: If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they believe, if one rise again from the dead.” In contrast, ALL the living poor merit from their sufferings as poor, in want of material necessities. Yet,they are far better off than these, and are receiving so much more compassion from others. So please, spread some charity to the “truly poor in spirit”, captives until you help to release them.
Revelations of St Gertrude:
Our Lord wishes people to pray for the souls in purgatory. He once showed Gertrude a table of gold on which were many costly pearls. The pearls were prayers for the holy souls. At the same time the saint had a vision of souls freed from suffering and ascending in the form of bright sparks to heaven.
In one Vision, Our Lord tells Gertrude that he longs for someone to ask Him to release souls from purgatory, just as a king who imprisons a friend for justice’s sake hopes that someone will beg for mercy for his friend. Jesus ends with:
“I accept with highest pleasure what is offered to Me for the poor souls, for I long inexpressibly to have near Me those for whom I paid so great a price. By the prayers of thy loving soul, I am induced to free a prisoner from purgatory as often as thou dost move thy tongue to utter a word of prayer.”
In another vision she was given the Prayer which Our Lord told her would release 1000 Souls from Purgatory every time it is said with love and devotion.
“Eternal Father, I offer You the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus Christ, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, those in the Universal Church, in my home, and in my family.”
Benedictine and mystic writer; born in Germany, 6 Jan., 1256; died at Helfta, near Eisleben, Saxon, 17 November, 1301 or 1302. Her boundless charity embraced rich and poor, learned and simple, the monarch on his throne and the peasant in the field; it was manifested in tender sympathy towards the souls in purgatory, in a great yearning for the perfection of souls consecrated to God. The Church has inserted the name of Gertrude in the Roman Martyrology with this eulogy: “On the 17th of November, in Germany (the Feast) of St. Gertrude Virgin, of the Order of St. Benedict, who was illustrious for the gift of revelations.” Her mission, “to empty Purgatory”. She did not give up her intellectual ardor but now, all her labors were for her sisters, to cure what she termed “the wound of ignorance.” spiritual joy in her book The Herald of Divine Love, She wrote this excellent, small book because she was told that nothing was given to her for her own sake only.
She prayed that they might have more time to pray and fewer distractions. The Lord answered, “It does not matter to me whether you perform spiritual exercises or manual labor, provided only that your will is directed to me with a right intention. If I took pleasure only in your spiritual exercises, I should certainly have reformed human nature after Adam’s fall so that it would not need food, clothing or the other things that man must find or make with such effort.” Last update 1/03/2019.
