Pentecostal Movement Charisms? Catholics beleive, Or Not?

Can the Faithful (Catholics) be persuaded by protestant doctrines enunciating Pentecostal & Evangelical Charisms? Charismatica Movement!

Does the answer beg the question? City Confesses, that thirty years ago or more, I struggled with this new idea of a Charismatic Movement. I participated in Catholic Charismatic Masses and other similar weekly prayer meetings, etc. However, the speaking and singing in tongues was always foreign to my soul. Curious however, and desiring “gifts”, I persisted, yet always uncomfortable with the sounds of nonsense arising the rafters, like female Arabic women announcing their husbands bringing his unholy blood sacrifices. When I asked, what did you sing? No one EVER knew, what anyone said. The answer was always this, “a praise prayer is between your soul and God? Only by the grace of God, I escaped, and rejected the allure.

The following has been researched, from “Sensus Fidelium” Youtube video, Papal Encyclical, (Ecclesiam Suam 1964) with my own experiences. The truth demands “this TOPIC be addressed on the “Body of Apologetics.” Instead City argues the case for truth found in the word of God, Sensus Fidelium video on St John of the Cross principles, and Papal Pastoral Encyclical Vatican warnings in 1964, plus my readings of our Saints.

Many of the faithful, Catholics have studied our Saints readily “smell this foul air” as the Holy Ghost and the Stairway to Heaven imparted to us from the Saints is contrary to this, “sensual feel good Gnosticism.”

We know these incorruptible saints, by their virginal, holiness, meekness, charity and continual prayer life & sufferings, (some by their in-corrupted asleep bodies); later authenticated by the Church. She provides a safe haven for us to accept their “private revelations” and read their road maps to the stages of prayer to a transforming union with Jesus. While most souls only achieve step one or two, in this souls advancement, we witness in disbelief that 100% of these Pentecostals arise to a heavenly consoling bliss of soul with Jesus displaying “signs and wonders (primarily Tongues!) “. While flaunting their disobedience, for God’s Natural Law of Order and Grace demanded of Adam.

What Jesus Said “ I came to witness to the Truth:”

Since this Pentecostal movement, sprung from the river of error and a vine of deception “Protestantism” of Martin Luther, the authenticity of this spiritualism is “Dubia”. Dare we say, Jesus’ our bridegroom is unfaithful to His bride (the Catholic Church) and the Spirit of Truth is a “Liar?”

The following Scripture verses speak to the absurdity of an explosion of Charisms in this movement within protestant churches. [Church –(Mt16:16-18; Mt28:18-20; (Lk10:16); (Jn14:16,26, 16:12); (1Tim3:15); (Is9:6-7); (Dan2:44, 7:14);(Lk1:32-33)]; [Church speaks with One Voice (Lk10:16); (Jn10:16, 14:26 ,15:16, 20:1);
(Jn14:23-24) (Rev21:17); (Lk22:30; Jn21:17,) (Eph4:11)]; [Authority (Mt18:17-18, 28:18-20); (Lk10:16); (Jn14:26, 16:13); (1Jn2:27) ] [One Body: (Jn17)(Col1:18); 1Cor6:15, 12:20-27,); (Eph5:30); (Rom12:4-5)(see City blog post on unity under Credo 4 marks of the church, and over 100 Unity verses, being ignored by our Bible christians

Does your Church deny graces flowing from Sacramental Living waters? But profess the Gifts of the Holy Spirit?

Briefly these 4 points about Jesus as the Godhead of His Church and Mystical body. “Saul, Saul, why doth thou persecute me?” (Acts9:4, 22: 7-8, 26:14-15) Paul does not say Jesus said, Saul, why are you persecuting the Apostles, or Disciples, he says “ME” Paul tells us three times Jesus, and His Church are One.

Jesus said it, “It’s the Truth, We believe it, that’s final.”

First Point: Establishing His Church as the source to receive His Grace for Salvation:

First, point Jesus did establish His Church; “Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answering said to him: Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jona: because flesh and blood hath not revealed it to thee, but my Father who is in heaven. And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven. (Mt16:16-18) . These other “church verses listed points to the establishment of an eternal government” and ONLY, One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic, Church can claim this right.

Second point: She Speaks with One Voice. [Acts15:28, Lk10:16]

Jesus establishes a Hierarchical church ( as in the O. T. Hebrews). “But the Paraclete, the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring all things to your mind, whatsoever I shall have said to you.” So you now propose that the Holy Spirit no longer “teaching YOU, (His Church) all things, but this voice also speaks to the Schismatics & Apostates, that reject Christ, and his bride? Even though, they do not accept “all things”, Jesus commanded His Apostles? Or do you make Jesus a liar when HE said, “teach them to observe ALL that I taught you”? Do you doubt, He really couldn’t mean ALL things? Or do you believe this is NOT the Word of God?

Jesus gave the Apostles the authority to speak on His behalf and that of the Holy Ghost, these above verses attest to this Truth. As does the O.T. hierarchical Authority with Moses and Aaron, that witness, even prefigure this hierarchical structure in an everlasting covenant. How would the Holy Ghost be guiding his bride on all truth (Jn16:13);(Acts15:28), while “gossiping in tongues” with apostates, schismatics and heretics, not living in Truth? Or do you condemn the Holy Ghost as a liar and a Judas, the Betrayer,? And make Jesus, an unfaithful bridegroom? Then again, I must ask, If the Spirit of Truth is speaking in these Evangelical halls; How is it that our Church can be the “ONE VOICE” to speak for Jesus and the Holy Ghost, per the scripture verses captioned above? Could not the Catholic Church make statements contradicting these Evangelicals if so, then what? We have more than 1 Truth, spoken by the Holy Spirit? God Forbid! Do you still say, “this is order within God’s Natural Law?”

Dare to believe this is error: Jesus answered and said to him: “If any one love me, he will keep my word. And my Father will love him and we will come to him and will make our abode with him. He that love me not keep not my words. And the word which you have heard is not mine; but the Father’s who sent me.” Jesus said it, WE believe it, that’s Final! (Jn14:23-24)

Third Point: Authority to Govern

Jesus gives the keys of His Kingdom to His Trusted Apostle, “Men”!

In (Mt16:16-19), Jesus, beyond doubt, says, Peter is the foundation on which He will build his Church, gives the keys and a kingdom to his Apostles, and not to pruned branches of schismatic splinter churches, 1900 years later (see below), claiming priestly authority. As IF Apostolic authority grows on trees like apples, without regard to how to keep His word, except for pointing to unrelated passages in “The Book.” These modern day, Joseph Smith’s presume without understanding their own book In Self Revelation? Matthew records this power again! (Mt18:18)

To dispute this Authority makes the claim, that Jesus is imprudent, lacking in Wisdom to manage the establishment of His Church, the government that Isaiah prophesied. Yet, when we read Sacred Scripture, the Apostles are acting with His authority in two Church Counsels of Jerusalem – recorded in the book of ACTS!

Or do you suppose that the power to bind and loosen belongs to more than one authority? The Church received (Jn20:23) power to forgive sins. Yet each member by his baptism, per the protestant movement can justly bypass HER, and are awarded self forgiveness? Why does Jesus give such authority at all?, when He announces His establishment of a Church? Only to give every soul authority to Free Mercy? If protestant doctrine is correct, we each are given this authority to forgive our own sins. This is Justice? Because this is EXACTLY what happens, when these pray and presumptuously assume and “trust” that Jesus heard all baptized sinners and that all sin is covered for them, 2000 years ago. Even the sins they fail to remember or won’t admit? Why reserve this for His Church and Apostles? But as a Catholic we must abide by a different set of humility forming rules, that the Church teaches. Is His Church authority exclusive as She believes? Or Not? Or do you suppose, through some divination of Charles Fox Parham (see below Pentecostalism) this authority is now revoked or, sharing the Holy Ghost with apostates souls, disobedient to Christ’s teachings and His Church? In truth, such apostates render Sin, and God’s Justice, to a simple mental exercise, meaningless. If their doctrine were, True!

Not only that, the Holy Ghost grants His gifts universally unconcerned over this new nature, in unholiness of their souls.

For example: 1) Prayer maybe once in a while?, 2) Confession never, 3) Real presence in the Eucharist- they don’t believe, 4) Or even IF one attends church regularly, then disappears from “fellowship”, for a month, “we’re on vacation”, skipping the Sabbath, [Even so, theirs NOT DIVINE LITURGY, thus unacceptable!], 5) curses like a banchie, 6) Dare not, mention the numbers of divorced and remarried by civil authorities all still claiming holy grace? [95% of annulments in Catholic Marriages are of “Mixed marriage between a Catholic and a protestant.] Their brutal behaviors in & out of Matrimony, so thoroughly disregards Jesus teaching on Matrimony, and Yet this is NOT an impediment to a “life in the Holy Spirit?” In Divorce, they look ONLY to the O. T, for their guidance, preferring the “stiff neck Jew” Exceptions”, for their selves, while ignoring Jesus! All this denial of Christ’s Word! Yet some Catholics still believe these Pentecostals have confirming gifts of the Holy Spirit?

Yes, Still something may be “feeling good” there, BUT scriptural adherence To Jesus’ Word doubtful, and lest Jesus is untrue to His Espousal? {see Marriage Feast in the Kingdom 12/24/18.} Or his word?

Finally: ONE BODY.

While most of these share one baptism and the Holy Trinity with His Catholic Church, this is NOT universal among the 49,000 or so Sola protestant religions. Not “ONE”. In fact, one such Evangelical defended “oneness”vs the Catholic Church, the uniform acceptance of Martin Luther’s 5 Sola’s (headlines on his webpage). Knowing what each of these believe is impossible and yet these Pentecostals profess the Spirit of Truth is within them? Unity be forsaken. This very claim is antithetical in nature, unless the Holy Ghost accepts more than one truth? And how can these be receiving guidance, words, speaking in tongues, prophesying in the name of the Holy Spirit when these contradict each other every time a preacher speaks on their pulpits. Yet City, quotes one such leader, Peter Wagner below, “I see the third wave of the eighties as an opening, of the straight-line evangelicals and other Christians to the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit that the Pentecostals and charismatics have experienced, but without becoming either charismatic or Pentecostal.”

If Catholics didn’t have the comfort of Truth, we the so-called Elect could be fooled, while many still are! If we didn’t have centuries of great teachers and theologians showing and lighting the Way of Christ for us, demonstrating in their writings how to achieve holiness and perfection, then maybe we could deceive ourselves with this lie too. In John17, Jesus prays the unity prayer, that his Church to be One, as he and the Father are one. Clearly these Pentecostals are not one with his holy Catholic Church. Many Evangelicals openly detest the Catholic Church, and yet they are “One” as scripture refers? Worship Jesus by symbol, remembering Holy Great Thursday with a “fellowship meal” once a month, no prayers of thanks, no authority, just wheel out “al a cart” style table, full of bread and shot glasses, filled with grape juice. They are One? with us who participate in the sacrifice of Christ cross, in Eucharist daily?

The Church is built on the rock of Peter, and he who eats the Lamb outside this holy dwelling is reprobate .. .He who eats the Lamb outside this Apostolic See has no part with God! Pope Pious IX (1792-1878)

This is oneness? These Pentecostals who deny the Church, Apostolic teachings, Mary ( in disregard to the 4th Commandment), Purgatory, Absolution – reconciliation to God and Church, Church Authority, Binding and Loosening power granted for sin, communion of Saints, and protest 4 of 7 grace giving Sacraments handed down to us, instituted by The Christ! This is Oneness? Oh Please forbid. What a mockery of Truth. Pontius Pilot responded to Jesus witness to Truth by saying “What is Truth”. Then so do I.!..

“In fact, there is only one true and holy religion, founded and instituted by Christ Our Lord. Mother and Nurse of the virtues, Destroyer of vice, Liberator of souls, Guide to true happiness, she is called Catholic, Apostolic, and Roman.” Pope Pious IX.

False Pentecostalism, Evangelical spirit filled?, ALL fit this Bill of Lading!

So, Sensus Fidelium asks a pointed question, “If Pentecostals are receiving an authentic infusion of the Holy Spirit, then why are they NOT flocking to the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church?”

[Wisdom be attentive]

Also, since CityofGod.Blog quotes St Augustine as often as possible provides his words for each of your contemplation. St Augustine Quote: One possesses the Holy Ghost, to the extent, he loves the Catholic Church. The Holy Ghost is the SOUL of the Church.

Sensus Fidelium reviewed St John of the Cross wrote in “ASCENT of MT. CARMEL” these very errors that some religious were inclined to fall. Based on City’s note taking, summarizes below, St John’s explanation of the 6 errors.

St John of the Cross warns over and over again in his writings. As an Exorcist and Church proclaimed Spiritual Doctor, if not the Doctor of “Mystical Life” for the Catholic Church ( aka Authoritative teaching).

ST JOHN of the CROSS WARNS of 6 Sensory pentecostal spirituality that relies on the spiritual senses of the body. ( these in relation to the Catholic Religious)

  1. Faith: will; gradually diminish sensible experiences detract from it, Faith is about the “unseen” Not what is Seen or Felt. Bodily senses set themselves up as sole Arbitrators and judge over their cause. Faith is no longer the Guide, rather its “how they feel”. The feeling is the judge. { City: Now these are 100% of their members, as they are NOT accepted into the tribe until they can witness to the ONE day he or she received the calling of the Holy Spirit. The witness to Nicodemis “Must be Born -Again } however these tend to stop serving God if and when God stops providing them favors. If He hides himself wishing to add more adult nourishment for children’s food, they become disgusted, discouraged, scrupulous, ( no Longer feel God), ending their piety and seek worldly consolations.
  2. IF unrejected, these sensibilities become impediments to the spirit to adore God in their spiritual life. Detaining the soul’s progress. Preventing the soul from soaring like an Eagle. Wishing to reluctantly return to their feel good corporal natures believing they have arrived at the Summit of Truth, when in fact they may have only just begun.
  3. The soul begins to develop Possessive Attitudes; attached to the Consolations of God. Instead of seeking God himself, the True end of sublime holiness.
  4. Individual gradually Losses the effects of these communications , purely interior sensual experiences graces are lost.
  5. Individual soul loses God’s favor belonging to themselves, Experiences, Presumption and Vanity with the opinion that they are Important, specially selected by God. [When true spirituality REQUIRES the OPPOSITE. Pentecostalism is Contrary to the spirit of Humility,
  6. Opens the door, to the devil and his demons. To accept the idleness of this mind and body sensibilities, whose essences they can impact. St John and others have told us that even the Saints can be deceived in-genuinely expertly deceived and disguised as an angel of life when it is but angel of deception. The more exterior and corporal the manifestation the less certain of their Divine Origin.
St john of the Cross Doctor of Mystic Theology 1542-1591 AD

It is the Devil, we know who works the senses and the imagination as many Saints have written. Against, he warns that even the Saints have been deceived while admonishing Catholics to abandon these sensual experiences to prevent further serious error. For they are in extreme danger of being deceived from such manifestations most assuredly from the Devil and not of God. It is the Devil who influences the “corporal” natures of man. St John leaves us with a most solemn Caution. Many In- Cautious and uninstructed souls – in sureness of the reception of these communications met with real difficulty returning to God with a purity of faith. Once deceived many are unable to return because of the deep roots the devil has taken in their wake.

God said it, We believe it, and that’s Final!

Research & other evidence:

Born of protestant movement, Charles Fox Parham is often referred to as the “Father of Modern Day Pentecostalism.” Rising from a nineteenth century frontier background, he emerged as the early leader of a major religious revivalist movement. June 4th,1873. (See #15 in the report “The Charismatic Movement: 35 Doctrinal Issues.”)

From the second century to the nineteenth century, there is no historical evidence that godly, orthodox believers spoke in tongues. We do have instances of tongues speaking in these centuries, but in every case the people speaking in tongues belonged to heretical groups. From Montanus (2nd Century) to Edward Irving (19th century), instances of “tongues” within the church were never considered to be part of genuine Christianity. Also, we should note that these “heretics” who spoke in tongues were speaking some kind of emotional, nonsense gibberish and not real languages as was the case in Acts chapter 2.
Wave 1. In 1901 at Bethel Bible College, Topeka, Kansas, Agnes Ozman received what she called the baptism of the Spirit and spoke in “tongues.” The practice then became part of the Holiness movement of the church in the United States. In 1906, tongues were spoken on Azusa Street in Los Angeles, California, and out of these two events in 1901 and 1906 grew mainline Pentecostal denominations which are still with us today (Assemblies of God, etc.).

Wave 2. This is sometimes referred to as the New Charismatic Movement. It was like the old charismatic, Pentecostal movement in that it gave special emphasis to certain gifts, most notably the gift of tongues. It was a new movement in the sense that it crossed denominational lines and barriers.

Wave3. The term “third wave” was first coined by C. Peter Wagner in 1983.
This movement is also called the Signs and Wonders Movement and the Vineyard Movement. It has been a rapidly growing movement, drawing adherents from both charismatic and non-charismatic churches. The movement stresses “power evangelism” whereby the gospel is explained and demonstrated by way of supernatural signs and wonders.

ECCLESIAM SUAM (Excerpts taken from this document to confirm the Essay on Pentecostalism Errors.)

#1 The Church was founded by Jesus Christ to be the loving mother of the whole human family and minister to its salvation (Ecclesiam Suam 1964) 3. The aim of this encyclical will be to demonstrate with increasing clarity how vital it is for the world, and how greatly desired by the Catholic Church, that the two should meet together, and get to know and love one another. 7.Our purpose is merely to send you a sincere message, as between brothers and members of a common family.

#8 In short, Venerable Brethren, there are three policies which principally exercise Our mind when We reflect on the enormous responsibility for the Church of Christ which, unsought and undeserved, the providence of God has laid upon Us in making Us Bishop of Rome, successor to St. Peter the Apostle and Key-bearer of the Kingdom of Heaven, and Vicar of Christ who appointed Peter the first Shepherd of his worldwide flock. A) Deeper self knowledge Essential, B) Renewal the Inevitable Result, C) Dialogue To Be Extended

Act of Faith: Grace comes secretly into the soul after the hearing of the message of salvation. This is followed by the act of faith, the beginning of our justification. Christ’s

Exhortation to Vigilance 21. Now it is true that our Master’s warning in this respect referred primarily to the need to be on the watch for the end of the world, which will have to come sooner or later. But precisely because this vigilance must always be present and operative in the mind of the faithful servant, it follows that everything that he sets his hand to, his whole way of life as a Christian in the world, should conform to this rule.

Renewed Profession of Faith 23….the Church-to make a conscious, generous, whole-hearted act of faith in Jesus Christ our Lord. “I believe, Lord.” (l0) Or like the faith of Martha in the same Gospel: “Yes, Lord, I have believed that thou art Christ, the Son of the living God, who art come into the world.” (11) Or the faith which Simon, who was afterwards to be called Peter, expressed in words which are especially dear to Us: “Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God.” (l2)…..To use St. Paul’s phrase, it must experience the indwelling presence of Christ: “May Christ find a dwelling place through faith in your hearts.” (l3)…….26…The great advances made in science, technology, and social life, and the various currents of philosophical and political thought pervading modern society, are greatly influencing men’s opinions and their spiritual and cultural pursuits.

Modem Bent of Mind (Outside world)28. But the need for serious reflection on truths which are already well known is in close accordance with the genius and mentality of our contemporaries, who like to explore their minds in depth. They find mental repose in the secure grasp of truth, apprehended, as it were, in the light of conscience. Not that this method of enquiry is without serious risk……And if this mental discipline is carefully coordinated with that habit of mind whereby a man discovers objective truth, the investigation of one’s conscious knowledge may well lead to a greater knowledge of oneself, one’s dignity as a human being, one’s intellectual powers and practical ability.

Leo XIII and Pius XII on the Church:

There are, however, two documents which deserve special mention: the encyclical Satis cognitum (15) of Pope Leo XIII, published in 1896, and the encyclical Mystici corporis (l6) of Pope Pius XII, published in 1943.

“The doctrine of the Mystical Body of Christ, which is the Church, a doctrine revealed originally from the lips of the Redeemer Himself, and making manifest the inestimable boon of our most intimate union with so august a Head, has a surpassing splendor which commends it to the meditation of all who are moved by the divine Spirit, and with the light which it sheds on their minds, is a powerful stimulus to the salutary conduct which it enjoins.” (17)

The Contribution of Scholars….They have carried on this work not only in the theological schools, but also in discussions with academicians and intellectuals, in popular writings in defense of the Christian truth, in the spiritual direction of the faithful, and in conversations with our separated brethren….

Rediscovering the Mystical Body..35….Consider the words of Our Predecessor, Pius XII, rather than Our own. In his memorable encyclical Mystici Corporis he wrote: “We must accustom ourselves to see Christ Himself in the Church. For it is indeed Christ who lives in the Church, and through her teaches, governs, and sanctifies; and it is also Christ who manifests Himself in manifold guise in the various members of His society.” (18)

How gratifying and pleasant it is to dwell on the words of Sacred Scripture, the Fathers, Doctors and Saints, which come to our minds when we contemplate this wonderful article of faith. Was it not Jesus Himself who told us that He was the vine and we the branches? (l9) Do we not have before us all the riches of St. Paul’s teaching, who never ceases to remind us that we “are all one person in Jesus Christ”? (20) He is always exhorting us to “grow up in him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body…,” (21) and admonishes us that “Christ is all in all.” (22)

Mature Faith the Key …Christ’s presence, His very life, will reveal its power and efficacy in our individual souls and in the whole Mystical Body; and this by the practice of a living and life-giving faith, so that, as St. Paul said in the passage from which We have already quoted, “Christ may dwell through faith in your hearts.” (74)

Cultivating the Highest Spirituality awareness of the Church: namely, the best type of spirituality, nourished by the reading of Sacred Scripture and the Church’s holy Fathers and Doctors, and by everything else that can foster this awareness in the Church: systematic catechetical instruction, and determined effort to cultivate the prayer of contemplation.

And to Sanctify the World 42. The very external conditions in which the Church finds itself give added impetus to this striving for religious and moral perfection, for the Church cannot remain indifferent to or unaffected by the changes which take place in the world around.

False Philosophies ..49. In addition we are confronted with the doctrine of Naturalism, which attempts to undermine the fundamental conception of Christianity. Relativism, too, seeks to justify everything, and treats all things as of equal value. It assails the absolute character of Christian principles. We are also confronted with the growing tendency to prune away from the Christian life everything that requires effort or causes inconvenience. It rejects as vain and futile the practice of Christian asceticism and the contemplation of the things of God. … It will be well for us if Christ, who lives always to make intercession for us, (31) includes us moderns in the wonderful prayer He addressed to His heavenly Father: “I pray not that thou should take them out of the world, but that thou shouldst keep them from evil.” (32)

Obedience to Christ’s Will 51. But let Us repeat once again for our common admonition and profit:.. Church lays upon itself with the intention of following in Christ’s footsteps. Herein lies the secret of the Church’s renewal, its metanoia, to use the Greek term, its practice of perfection.

Two Fundamental Gospel Precepts 53. There are, however, two special points We feel constrained to mention. They have to do with needs and duties which seem to Us to be paramount, and they provide matter for reflection on the general lines of the renewal of ecclesiastical life. a)The Spirit of Poverty, b) Supreme Position of Charity…Charity “beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.” (37) …Mary, a Most Loving Teacher; We regard devotion to the Mother of God as of paramount importance in living the life of the Gospel.

Papal Precedents 67. Our apostolic ministry. From Our predecessors of the past century We have inherited a pastoral outlook and a pastoral approach. Our first teacher is that great and wise pope Leo XIII, who, like the prudent scribe in the Gospel, resembled a householder “who bringeth forth out of his treasure new things and old.” (44)

The Dialogue of Salvation But Universal 76. The dialogue of salvation was made accessible to all. It applied to everyone without distinction. (53) Hence our dialogue too should be as universal as we can make it. That is to say, it must be catholic, made relevant to everyone, excluding only those who utterly reject it or only pretend to be willing to accept it.

Papacy an Apparent Obstacle 110. That We, who promote this reconciliation, should be regarded by many of Our separated brothers as an obstacle to it, is a matter of deep distress to Us.

But Principle of Unity; Are there not those who say that unity between the separated Churches and the Catholic Church would be more easily achieved if the primacy of the Roman pontiff were done away with?….Moreover, without the supreme, effective, and authoritative pastoral office of Peter the unity of Christ’s Church would collapse. It would be vain to look for other principles of unity in place of the true one established by Christ Himself. As St. Jerome rightly observed: “There would be as many schisms in the Church as there are priests.” (65)

End of diligence: You either understand this phenomena a bit better: & Or can witness to the Truth. As we are called to do. 1Pet:3:15 Now for a daily indulgence prayer.

“DIVINE HEART of JESUS, convert sinners, save the dying, deliver the holy souls in purgatory.” 300 day indulgence (Pius X Rescript in his own hand, Jul 13,1906 /Nov 5,1906.
